Overview

This course has been designed to prepare you for delivering care at a higher level of practice. It provides an academic environment which builds on your knowledge and skills. Modules will encourage critical exploration if issues which is intended to assist you in being able to constructively challenge and utilize evidence to enhance practice.

Plus three optional modules: You may choose your optional modules according to the universities recommended career development pathway modules as set below. Alternatively, you may choose any five optional modules you prefer from the portfolio of modules listed below. You willstudy two optional modules at year 1 and three at year 2.

  • Substance Use & Misuse Management

  • A Degree in Nursing and Registration with Nursing Council of your country of origin/education.
  • IELTS requirement of minimum 6.5 overall with no components less than 6.0 bands.

Graduates from this course are able to successfully work as administrators and managers within healthcare settings as well as academic careers such as lecturers or tutors

  • The completion of this course only provides a pathway but does not lead to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). To become a registered nurse in the UK, you need to fulfil all NMC requirements. Please refer to NMC website for further details.
  • UWL students can study optional modules that prepare them for NMC CBT and OSCE exams. These modules meet the preparatory requirements for NMC registration exams.
