Clinical Decision Making and the Deteriorating Adult Patient Workshop

India, March 2014 - INSCOL Academy & GlobalNurse4U has continuously looked at ways to bring global nursing education for the Indian nurses. INSCOL Academy recently tied up with University of West London, UK to offer five new programs in India. These programs are accredited by the University of West London and shall be delivered in India. All the five programs have been designed to provide hands-on & clinical exposure to the participants using state of the art simulation based learning in a safe practice environment.

The first workshop on Clinical Decision Making and the Deteriorating Adult Patient was conducted at MS-Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre, Bangalore, facilitated by University of West London and INSCOL Academy faculty on 22nd March, 2014. Staff nurses, final year BSc(N) and MSc(N) students from various hospitals and colleges in Bangalore attended the workshop. The participants practiced on real clinical scenarios and practiced skills using high fidelity manikins. Each participants approach to handling a critical patient was recorded and played back during the debrief sessions. The faculty spent valuable time to debrief participants, about what went well and what could be improved during the simulated scenarios.
