At INSCOL, the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Pediatrics Advance Life Support Course (PALS) is designed with an objective to improve the quality of care given to children. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes contrary to adults, in case of children or infants, cardiac arrests does not results from a primary cardiac cause, rather culminates from a progressive respiratory failure or shock.

An Overview of Course Content:

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an instructor-led course that follows scenario-based approach with a combination of series of simulated pediatric emergencies to highlight the concepts of pediatric assessment, treatment algorithms used, effective resuscitation, cardiac arrest and more.

Course employs learning stations wherein students can practice essential skills in simulated clinical scenarios resulting in active participation and skills proficiency.

After successful completion of exam candidate receives the AHA Basic Life Support Certificate. This certificate is valid internationally for 2 years.

Being certified in PALS is highly valuable for healthcare workers who are serving in:

  • ICU’s
  • CCUs
  • Emergency rooms or
  • Any other medical expert who attends a cardiovascular emergency
