Chandigarh, India, May 2014–GlobalNurse4U (an INSCOL Academy initiative), through its team of instructors, continues to fulfill the mission of empowering Indian nurses by imparting global best practices , through workshops and simulation-based training programmes in India.
Prof. Kris Voycey, President, College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and Ms. Yvonne Galbraith, Nursing Simulation Specialist, Georgian College, Canada were invited by INSCOL Academy to conduct workshops on Trauma Care and Multimodal Approach to Nursing Simulation in Nursing Colleges in Punjab, Bangalore and Kochi.
A total number of 172 workshops were conducted in the quarter April-June’14, wherein, 3260 nurses were trained.
To understand trauma care in Indian hospitals , the faculty visited PGIMER (Post-graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research), Chandigarh. They also visited Welcare Hospital, Kochi, and Global Hospital, Bangalore, during their visits to these cities.
A further round of workshops on Trauma Care and Nursing Simulation were conducted in Bangalore on the 20th and 21st of May, 2014 at Global Hospital and Manjushree College of Nursing. In all, GlobalNurse4U trained 300+ nurses in Chandigarh, Kochi and Bangalore at these workshops.
