INSCOL and Seneca College, Ontario Signs MOU for Medical Training

In her subsequent visit to India within a year, Kathleen Wynne, Premier of Ontario was accompanied by her Ministers, MPPs, and Academicians& Business Leaders. Their objective was the Ontario and India’s shared priorities – including infrastructure, education and skills development, agriculture, sustainable development and clean energy.

David Agnew, President Seneca College, and INSCOL Health Skills Pvt. Ltd. signed a $2.9-million MOU to provide “train the trainer” health and medical training for youth. Professor Brenda Tapp-Cosgrove from Seneca’s School of Health Sciences collaborated with INSCOL to deliver training to Indian nurses. As part of a 10-year plan to train over 83,000 students throughout India. In turn, these nurses will help Indian youth to excel in nursing roles like General Duty Assistant and Home Health Aid.

INSCOL and SENECA have an enduring partnership since more than 7 years and have aided in career progression of more than 1000 Indian Nurses by helping them to upgrade their knowledge and skills to become Global Nurses. Seneca College is one of Canada’s largest post-secondary institutions with over 100,000 full time and part time students, providing education and training in more than 150 programs.

INSCOL has been in Healthcare Services & Education since more than 20 years and is the leading provider of Post-Registration Nursing Training & Education in India. INSCOL has partnerships with recognized providers in Canada, UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand and has provided in-country training to more than 30,000 nurses in the last 3 years.

On this occasion, INSCOL also launched its first Academy of Excellence in Chandigarh. In total, seven agreements were signed in Chandigarh between the Government of Ontario, Ontario delegates and their Indian partners, valued at $3.7 million.
