The Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) is an initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) in association with Healthcare Industry Leaders representing both public and private sector.. It was created to ensure standardization, safe practices and quality delivery of healthcare in the country. The key objective of the Council is to create a robust and vibrant eco-system for quality vocational education and skill development in Allied Healthcare space in the country. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a unique initiative by the Government of India that aims to offer 24 lakh Indian youth meaningful, industry relevant, skill based training.
